Quick Notes: Port Authority To Start Charging Car Rental Companies Not Part Of Airport Group

ST. THOMAS -- The Virgin Islands Port Authority will begin charging car rental companies with operations outside the Cyril E. King Airport, but do business at the facility everyday, $1 per day on every rental transaction beginning on November 1st, 2015.

The decision was announced yesterday at a meeting VIPA Director Carlton Dowe held with officials of the rental companies with operations outside the airport.

VIPA will host its monthly board meeting today in the conference room on the second floor of the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport Terminal on St. Croix.
