The Postal Service in Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands continue what postal officials call an ‘aggressive schedule’ for delivery throughout the weekend, the U.S. Postal Service said today.
All operating post offices will have handout of mail service on Sunday and 96 ZIP Codes that have residential delivery will be making attempts at delivery where it is safe to do so, according to Postal Service officials. No locations will offer retail services, such as stamp sales or money order transactions, on Sunday.
In Puerto Rico, all offices will be open for pickup of mail on Sunday, October 29, from 9 am to 2 pm. Customers from seven area post offices are still directed to alternate pickup locations, including Sunday. These are:

In the US Virgin Islands, post offices will be open for pickup of mail on Sunday, October 29, from 10 am to 2 pm. Customers who previously visited the Veterans Annex in St. Thomas for mail pickup are still directed to Charlotte Amalie while customers of the Frederiksted Post Office in St. Croix are to visit the Kingshill Post Office for mail pickup. Additionally, the St. Croix post offices are now accepting credit cards (on weekdays, these post offices are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). All other USVI locations will provide pickup services and mail delivery on Sunday.
All postal services resume with normal hours, with retail services at 92 locations, on Monday in the Caribbean.
Postal officials indicate that Sunday operations in post offices throughout the Caribbean will continue for the foreseeable future. Ramped up delivery activities are supported by additional gains made in postal operations this week, including expedited hiring, training and orientation of more than 200 temporary employees to support mail processing and additional contracting for flights now available into the Caribbean.
Processing hours also continue to expand where possible, officials note.
