Police Seeking Community's Help In Finding Missing Elderly Man Diagnosed With Alzheimer's Disease

ST. CROIX -- The Virgin Islands Police Department is seeking the community's assistance in locating an 83-year-old man, who police say was reported missing on August 5.

According to a release issued by the force's public information officer, Glen Dratte, the missing man, named Leonard Frederick, above, was last seen at his home #32-AB Company Street, Christiansted on August 3.

Mr. Dratte said Mr. Frederick is 5’7 inches tall; weighs about 145 lbs, is bald, has black eyes and wears glasses.

He has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and has been known to frequent the area of Company Street and Market Square, and oftentimes wanders the Christiansted town area.

Police are asking anyone who might come in contact with Mr. Frederick or know of his whereabouts, to call the Ancilmo Marshall, C Command Police Station at (340) 773-2530, (340) 778-2211 or 911.
