Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett
Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett is inviting the Virgin Islands Public to a series of town hall meetings on all three Islands scheduled for February 21-23, Ms. Plaskett's office announced today.
“These town halls are really an opportunity to have a more intimate discussion with the people of the Virgin Islands and hear the issues they want me to focus on in Washington. I anticipate the debt situation will be a topic of interest, but I also would like to discuss other federal issues impacting our community, like public land use and the National Parks Service and postal issues,” said the territory's delegate to Congress.
The town hall meetings will be held on all three islands, with the first scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21 at the Great Hall on the University of the Virgin Islands’ Albert M. Sheen Campus in St. Croix.
The second-term congresswoman will host a town hall for St. John residents on Wednesday, February 22 at 6:30 pm in the Cleone Henrietta Maynard Legislative Hall in Cruz Bay.
Plaskett’s St. Thomas Town Hall is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23 at Victor's New Hideout in Sub-Base.
