ST. JOHN -- A woman was viciously assault by her former boyfriend in Estate Enighed, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Friday.
According to Jackson, at about 11:00 p.m., the 911 emergency call center received notification of an assault in Estate Enighed. Upon arrival on the scene, officers met with the victim, who stated that her former boyfriend had punched, strangled and kicked her repeatedly until an unknown female began screaming at her attacker, who then fled the area.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Myrah Keating Clinic for treatment.
The incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
