Man Jailed For Striking Ex-Girlfriend With Hot Pot

ST. THOMAS -- 27-year-old Joseph Alexander Lee was arrested and charged with second degree assault after striking his ex-girlfriend with a hot, metal pot, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson made known this afternoon.

According to Jackson, on Saturday at about 10:30 a.m., Lee, who resides at the Paul M. Pearson Garden Housing Community, was positively identified by his ex-girlfriend as the person who assaulted her with the hot pot, causing second-degree burns to her upper arm.

No bail was set for Lee, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
