ST. THOMAS -- The second man who admitted to breaking into “My Brother’s Workshop” and stealing a television monitor and other items has been sentenced for the crime.
V.I. Superior Court Judge James Carroll III handed down a three-year prison sentence on Kyle Woods in accordance with a plea deal offered by Attorney General Claude Earl Walker.
AG Walker said, “My Brother’s Workshop provides paid job training, among other things, to many young men who are at risk in this community, and so, it is unfortunate that as this nonprofit entity seeks to help others who desperately need a hand up to get their lives on the right track, it is victimized in this way.”
Mr. Kyle, 46, and his accomplice, Allen “Buckwheat” Samuel, 42, both pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in connection with the Jan. 27 offense.
Last month, Judge Carroll sentenced Mr. Samuel to a four-year prison term.
