Man Dies In Vehicular Accident On East End Road After Wrangler Crashes Into Pole

ST. CROIX -- A vehicular accident on Monday night left the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, dead, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.

The incident occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on East End Road in the vicinity of Miss Bea Road, according to police.

Mr. Dratte said a preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, 49-year-old William Littell, was driving a black Jeep Wrangler Sahara, with the doors removed from both sides, a feature of the Wrangler. While heading west, Mr. Littell crashed into a pole, got ejected from the vehicle from the impact and died. Police said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

Next of kin was notified, according to police.
