Property owners on St. John delinquent on their real estate payments are encouraged to meet with a representative of the Division of Tax Collection at the Tax Assessors Office on Wednesday, March 4 to apply for an installment payment agreement with the Government of the Virgin Islands. Applications are being accepted at the Islandia Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The announcement was made by Lieutenant Governor Osbert Potter, who also reminds real property owners who previously entered into an installment agreement but have defaulted to visit the office to re-establish a payment arrangement.

The Lt. governor also points out that the establishment or re-establishment of an installment agreement will stop all accruing interest and penalties on delinquent accounts.

For more information, St. John property owners may contact the Div. of Tax Collection on St. Thomas at (340) 776-8505.
