Passengers being transferred from Sea Flight plane to boat By. Unknown

The Sea Flight VI plane which made an emergency landing this morning just two miles off of St. Thomas after the aircraft encountered some issues, was brought to St. Thomas safely being hauled by a boat. All seven passengers aboard the plane were said to be safe.

Governor Albert Bryan on Thursday afternoon issued the following statement on the emergency landing: “Being involved in an aviation incident is a traumatic experience. Our thoughts this morning are with the seven passengers and crew of flight 394SF, and with their loved ones. We are especially grateful for the heroic efforts of the pilot for safely landing the aircraft and for the swift response of our first responders and that of the members of the St. Thomas boating community. We have set up an incident command and triage station and have tended to the needs of the passengers who have subsequently been released."
