Frontier Airlines, recognized as America's Greenest Airline, announced today the launch of its nonstop service from Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix to Orlando International Airport, starting in May 2024. This new route complements the airline's upcoming service between St. Croix and San Juan, which is set to begin in June.

To celebrate the launch, Frontier is offering introductory fares starting at $69 and Premium Seat Upgrades from $19.

Josh Flyr, Frontier Airlines' vice president of network operations and design, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, highlighting its potential to boost inbound tourism to St. Croix and provide valuable travel options for the local community to the popular destination of Orlando. This city offers a vast range of connecting flights both within the U.S. and internationally.

Governor Albert Bryan marked the announcement as a significant milestone, emphasizing the opportunities for cultural exchange and economic growth. He praised the route for enhancing the appeal of St. Croix as a premier destination and looked forward to welcoming more visitors to the territory.

V.I. Dept. of Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte echoed this sentiment, applauding Frontier Airlines for their continued investment in the region and recognizing the increasing demand from leisure travelers to the Caribbean.

The new service is anticipated to foster growth and provide affordable access to what he described as "America's Caribbean Paradise."

The service will operate once a week starting May 25, 2024, subject to government approval. Frontier encourages passengers to visit its website for detailed information on flight frequencies and schedules, which are subject to change.

In addition to competitive fares, Frontier Airlines said it is committed to offering customizable travel options, including the ability to purchase a la carte features such as Premium Stretch Seating for enhanced comfort. The airline's FRONTIER Miles frequent flyer program allows customers to earn miles quickly, with benefits that scale with elite status, including priority boarding and waived fees for changes made in advance.

The promotional fare requires passengers to book by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on March 1, 2024. Fares are valid for nonstop travel on select days, with a 7-day advance purchase requirement. Notably, blackout dates apply: March 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 29-31, 2024; April 1-2, 5-7, 2024; May 24-27, 2024. These dates may limit availability for travel on certain routes. Round trip purchase is not required, offering flexibility to travelers.

Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ULCC), operates a fleet of 134 A320 family aircraft. The airline is recognized for its fuel efficiency and has over 210 new Airbus planes on order, signaling continued growth and commitment to providing affordable travel across America.
