Cape Air on Wednesday announced the resumption of daily flights between St. Thomas and Anguilla, starting November 1. The airline will offer year-round service, representing a notable expansion of its operations.

The daily flights will operate between Cyril E. King International Airport in St. Thomas and Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla. Cape Air said it has timed the schedule to optimize connections at St. Thomas, making it convenient for passengers traveling from or to other destinations.

Travelers can book their reservations through Cape Air’s website or by calling the airline directly. Additionally, passengers can earn frequent flyer benefits and book connecting flights on Cape Air's partner airlines, which include Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines.

Anguilla, celebrated for its pristine beaches and vibrant culture, will now be more accessible to leisure and business travelers alike. Linda Markham, CEO & President of Cape Air, highlighted the importance of this route, saying, “We are excited to offer our passengers a direct gateway to Anguilla. This new year-round service reflects our commitment to providing exceptional travel options and connects our passengers to one of the most stunning destinations in the Caribbean. Whether it's for a relaxing beach getaway or a business retreat, Anguilla has something for everyone.”

Minister of MICUH and Tourism for Anguilla, Haydn Hughes, expressed his enthusiasm for Cape Air’s return. "I am happy that Cape Air has returned to Anguilla. The service that Cape Air provides is unparalleled, and we have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship. Undoubtedly, both the diaspora and visitors to our respective destinations will be pleased, as I am, that this service has returned and expanded," Hughes said.

In a similar sentiment, V.I. Dept. of Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte praised the reinstated route, emphasizing the importance of regional connectivity. “The return of the Cape Air route between St. Thomas and Anguilla further elevates the connectivity of the U.S. Virgin Islands and our neighbors throughout the Caribbean. The continued regrowth of inter-Caribbean routes aligns with our collective regional push to increase and enhance the cross-island travel experience for residents and visitors alike,” Boschulte stated.

Cape Air has been a key player in the Caribbean aviation sector since 1998, offering frequent flights between various islands. The airline operates Cessna 402 aircraft, a nine-passenger twin-engine plane designed for short inter-island trips. With hubs in San Juan and St. Thomas, Cape Air currently runs over 80 daily flights to destinations including St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Nevis, Virgin Gorda, and more.

Founded in 1989, the airline now operates a fleet of 98 aircraft, servicing 30 cities across the U.S. and Caribbean, and flying approximately 400,000 passengers annually.
