U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has launched a new Global Entry enrollment center at the Cyril E. King International Airport, marking the first such facility in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The center officially opened on Monday, August 26, and as of Tuesday, August 27, conditionally approved Global Entry applicants can schedule appointments at this new location.

The initiative, named "Enrollment in Paradise", provides an accessible option for residents and travelers to complete their Global Entry interview and enrollment process. Open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the enrollment center is designed to serve both scheduled appointments and walk-ins. Applicants can now select St. Thomas when booking their enrollment interviews online.

“We are pleased to open our Enrollment Center here in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” said Area Port Director Todd Bellew. “Enrollment in Paradise is a first of its kind in the territory and will allow residents and the traveling public alike to complete their interview and enrollment process.”

Global Entry, a Trusted Traveler Program managed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), facilitates expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. The program operates across land, air, and sea ports of entry at major U.S. airports and Preclearance locations worldwide.

Applicants to the Global Entry program must undergo comprehensive background checks and an in-person interview to gain membership. CBP maintains strict security standards to ensure that Global Entry participants continue to be classified as low-risk travelers. Violations of the program's terms can lead to termination of membership and enforcement actions.
