The V.I. Dept. of Tourism has elated announced the territory’s nominations in the esteemed World Travel Awards, a global initiative celebrating excellence across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

Now in its 31st year, these awards offer a platform for recognizing unparalleled destinations and services within the industry.

With the voting phase now open to the public, D.O.T. is encouraging the participation of residents, diaspora, and enthusiasts to champion the U.S. Virgin Islands. “The World Travel Awards is known for its prestige throughout the industry, and we are excited for the opportunity to be recognized amongst our counterparts elevating in the travel industry and our region,” commented Assistant Commissioner Alani Henneman. “We encourage everyone to vote and show why the U.S. Virgin Islands is one of the best Caribbean destinations.”

Nominated categories spotlight the territory’s allure, including Leading Beach Destination, Leading Destination, and Most Romantic Destination. Moreover, the recent additions to Frenchman’s Reef – Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort, Autograph Collection, and the Westin Beach Resort & Spa – vie for Leading New Resort.

The department also highlighted nominations for Leading Resort and Leading Destination Management Company within the U.S. Virgin Islands, inviting further engagement from the global community in supporting these prestigious recognitions.
