Team ISV to Compete in Five Sports at ASU 2025 Junior Pan Am Games

With events spanning fencing, triathlon, swimming, athletics, and tennis, Team ISV will represent the USVI at the ASU 2025 Junior Pan Am Games, joining over 4,000 athletes from 41 countries in the region’s top international youth competition.

The V.I. Olympic Committee has confirmed its official delegation for the ASU 2025 Junior Pan American Games, where Team ISV will represent the territory in five sporting disciplines: fencing, triathlon, swimming, athletics, and tennis. The games are set to take place from August 9 to 23, with over 4,000 athletes from 41 countries expected to participate.

Athletes Representing the U.S. Virgin Islands

Team ISV will send a roster of accomplished athletes to compete at this major international event:

Fencing

  • Kruz Schembri – Men’s Épée

Triathlon

  • Michael Dizon-Bumann – Men’s Individual

Swimming

  • Maximillian Wilson – 200 Back, 100 Free, 100 Back, 50 Free, 200 IM

  • Riley Miller – 100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 Back, 50 Free

  • Kaeden Gleason – 200 Free, 100 Back, 200 IM

  • Allison Joseph – 400 Free, 200 Free, 100 Free

Athletics

  • Brandon Pemberton – 100m

  • Michelle Smith – 400m Hurdles

Tennis

  • Yared Alfred – Men’s Singles

Team ISV’s Leadership and Officials

The delegation will be led by National Olympic Committee (NOC) President John Abramson Jr., NOC Secretary General Ansen Sligar, Chef de Mission Athneil Thomas, and Deputy Chef de Mission Desiree Miranda.

Coaching and technical support staff include:

  • Oleg Stetsiv (Fencing)

  • Stephen Swanton (Triathlon)

  • John Vasbinder (Swimming)

  • Mireille Sankatsing-Smith (Athletics)

  • Laurent Alfred (Tennis)

 

Team ISV is preparing to compete among the Americas’ top junior athletes, aiming to showcase the skill, resilience, and national pride of the Virgin Islands. The delegation enters ASU 2025 with high hopes for strong performances across all events.
