Adidas Basketball announced today the signing of St. Thomas USVI native Aliyah Boston, the 2023 WNBA Draft first overall pick, to their prestigious women's basketball roster.

Ms. Boston, who was recently selected by the Indiana Fever, joins the likes of fellow Adidas athletes such as Candace Parker, Layshia Clarendon, and Nneka Ogwumike.

Eric Wise, global general manager of basketball at Adidas, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership. "We are beyond excited to welcome Aliyah to our adidas Basketball family. She exudes strength, resilience, versatility, and natural skill that is unmatched," he said. The signing of Ms. Boston further strengthens adidas' commitment to advancing the women's game, with their roster already boasting National Collegiate and World Champions, Players of the Year, and Finals MVPs.

Fans can look forward to Ms. Boston's highly anticipated WNBA debut on May 19, when the Indiana Fever take on the Connecticut Sun.

Aliyah Boston, born in Thomas, USVI, has an impressive basketball resume that includes numerous accolades such as the Lisa Leslie Award, USBWA National Freshman of the Year, and Naismith College Player of the Year. She led the University of South Carolina to their second national championship in school history in 2022 and was named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
