Gittens Bids Farewell: 'Life Does Not End Here'

ST. CROIX -- Senator Kenneth L. Gittens through a press release on Wednesday thanked the people of of the Virgin Islands and specifically those on St. Croix who gave him the opportunity to serve two consecutive terms. He said while the parting is bitter sweet, he feels content that while in office, he worked hard for the people of the Virgin Islands. “I want to thank everyone for their support and confidence in me over the past four years. I worked hard for my community and the Virgin Islands on a whole in order to address some pressing issues; some that others would not touch," Mr. Gittens said. "My staff and I worked hard on a number of legislations geared toward improving the quality of life for everyone and for generations to come. My disappointment is for those bill drafts that did not make it through the process."
