Senators Kurt Vialet and Janelle Sarauw.
Senator Kurt Vialet will announce his bid to become the 10th elected governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands during an event on Thursday, with the general consensus being that Mr. Vialet is currently the only formidable candidate to face the sitting governor, Albert Bryan for the territory's highest seat of power.
The announcement event, which will be carried live on the Consortium's Facebook platform and website, will take place at Blue Bambou, formerly called the New Drive Inn, at 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Mr. Vialet's running mate, Senator Janelle Sarauw, will also be in attendance. Both will share remarks with Virgin Islanders on what they believe is the current state of the territory and their vision to make the USVI a better place.
Other platforms hosting the announcement event include WSTA 1340 AM, The Reef 103.5 FM and 1620 a.m., Da Vybe 107.9 FM, and Papi Love Radio 91.9 FM.
Mr. Vialet and Ms. Sarauw are household names in the U.S. Virgin Islands, both with significant legislation as part of their achievements.
