Wayne Callwood and Anthony Nadal have asked the court to review the decision to suspend their professional licenses taken by the Board of Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors.
The Board found that Mr. Callwood, who works as Public Surveyor in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, had used Mr. Nadal's seal to stamp surveys he had prepared, to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. Mr. Nadal, it was found, knowingly allowed his seal to be used for this fraudulent purpose.
On Monday, Mr. Callwood submitted a pro se emergency motion to stay his suspension because that would “cause Petitioner's unemployment and cause an undue burden and hardship upon the Petitioner pending the outcome of the Court’s ruling on the Petition of Review.”
Mr. Nadal's application to the court was identical in all but name and administrative particulars.
As of press time, it is unclear whether the Superior Court has assigned a jurist to schedule hearings to deal with the two emergency motions.
