The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) is currently accepting sealed bids for the demolition of the c located in Estate Penitentiary Land on St. Croix. This extensive demolition project involves twenty-three apartment buildings, comprising fifteen single-story buildings and eight two-story buildings. The project also includes the demolition of approximately 99 units, six above/partially below-grade cisterns, concrete stairs, curbs, roads, and walkways.

Bids are open exclusively to V.I. licensed General Construction Contractors and/or Heavy Equipment companies. It is important to note that all buildings have been abated of hazardous materials, including Lead Base Paint and Asbestos Containing Materials, ensuring no known health risks to the demolition team.

• A virtual Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Interested participants can join the meeting via Zoom.

• The Virtual Bid Opening will occur on the same day, June 3, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. AST, accessible here.

The VIHFA reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, or terminate the bidding process at any time if it is in the best interest of the Authority.
