Woman Found Dead in St. John Residence, Autopsy Pending

ST. CROIX — A woman residing in Estate Enighed, St. John was found unresponsive in her apartment on Tuesday, according to the V.I. Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 12:33 p.m., when a concerned citizen alerted authorities via a 911 call.

Upon receiving the emergency call, officers promptly responded to the situation and proceeded to the reported address. Once on the scene, they found an unresponsive woman in her residence. The identity of the deceased is being held confidential, as next of kin notifications are underway, according to police.

Emergency Medical Technicians were dispatched to the scene in a timely manner. Despite their swift efforts, at around 12:53 p.m., they were unable to detect any signs of life. It is currently unknown whether the woman was afflicted with a health condition that could have contributed to her death.

The exact cause of her death remains undetermined, pending a formal autopsy.
