Update: United Airlines and Spirit Airlines Cancel All USVI Flights as Fiona Approaches; See Full List of Cancellations and Flights Still Scheduled

United Airlines and Spirit Airlines have cancelled all flights to and from the U.S. Virgin Islands, joining local carriers that have canceled flights between the islands of the USVI and Puerto Rico, according to the V.I. government's Joint Information Center which activates in times of emergencies and natural disasters.

The J.I.C. said the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, as well as the Cyril E. King Airport, would remain open.

The following airlines have canceled all St. Thomas, St. Croix and San Juan flights for September 17:

  • Cape Air
  • Seaborne Seaplane
  • Silver Airways

 

Normal operations are expected from:

  • Delta
  • American
  • Frontier
  • JetBlue

 

"There has been no update from LIAT or Air Sunshine," the J.I.C. said. Travelers are advised to contact their airlines directly for flight schedule information.
