Latest weather systems currently being monitored in the tropical Atlantic by the National Hurricane Center. By. NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER.

The Lesser Antilles Islands are urged to exercise caution and closely monitor the latest developments in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic as meteorologists track the progression of a potential weather system identified as AL94.

The National Hurricane Center has issued important information regarding this weather disturbance, which has shown signs of increased organization and poses potential risks to the region.

As of the latest forecast on Saturday morning at 2:00 a.m., shower and thunderstorm activity associated with AL94, originating several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, has intensified overnight. This uptick in activity has raised concerns among meteorologists, who are closely tracking the system's evolution.

Meteorologists also highlight that environmental conditions in the area are expected to become increasingly favorable for further development over the upcoming weekend and early next week. These conditions may contribute to the formation of a tropical depression within the next few days. The anticipated track for the system is westward or west-northwestward, potentially affecting the central and western tropical Atlantic.

According to the National Hurricane Center's assessment, the likelihood of formation within the next 48 hours is rated as medium, with a 60 percent chance. Over a seven-day period, the formation chance is considered high, with an 80 percent probability.

Given the evolving nature of this weather disturbance, residents, businesses, and local authorities in the Lesser Antilles Islands are strongly encouraged to remain vigilant and stay informed through official weather channels.

The National Hurricane Center will continue to closely monitor AL94 and provide regular updates and advisories to ensure the safety and preparedness of all potentially affected areas.
