Department of Health Announces Free Covid-19 Testing Territory-wide

The V.I. Department of Health has announced that it would be providing free Covid-19 drive-thru testing throughout the USVI on January 13. The department made the announcement on its Facebook page Tuesday.

In St. Thomas, the testing will take place from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m in the Home Depot parking lot. On St. Croix the testing will occur at the Canegata Recreational Center parking lot from 10:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m. In St. John the testing site will be the V.I. Port Authority Gravel Parking Lot and be available from 1:30-4:40 p.m.   

In the Facebook announcement, D.O.H. urged citizens to follow directions on the signage and bring a valid ID. Testing will be done on a first come, first serve basis. 

Testing will also be available on St. Thomas on January 14th at the same time and location. This week’s free-testing began on St. Croix on Tuesday. The testing will continue on St. John on Wednesday at the same location and time.

According to the D.O.H.'s Covid-19 website, there were 134 active cases in the territory as of Tuesday morning.
