ST. CROIX — The homicide incident that occurred in Vista Concordia last week where a woman was found stabbed to death in her vehicle, started at the deceased victim's home, revealed V.I.P.D. Criminal Investigation Bureau Commander Naomi Joseph during a press briefing held to address a homicide that occurred Tuesday.
"This is an incident that happened in her home; we have leads that we are following up, but I do not have information that I can truly release to the media right now," CDR Joseph stated. "It's rather sensitive and at this point we're just trying to hold it close to our chest to see what we develop from the information we do have."
After the Consortium sought clarification, CDR Joseph stated, "She was found in her car; the incident started in her home."

The V.I. Police Department on Sunday announced that a woman was found partially decomposed Friday in a vehicle with stab wounds about her body. Separately, a police source told the Consortium that the deceased victim was viciously stabbed to death.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Friday at 11:30 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Vista Concordia to investigate a possible deceased female in a vehicle. Emergency Medical Technicians confirmed that the female had no vital signs and was in early stages of decomposition.
"The body appeared to have multiple stab wounds about the body," the release stated, with the police department further stating that the case has been classified as a possible homicide pending an autopsy for cause of death.
The female was identified by family members as 56-year-old Lucy Lindquist of Morningstar Circle.
