Governor Albert Bryan has taken another step in shaping the administrative landscape of the Virgin Islands by forwarding the board and commission nominations of Donna Christensen, May A. Cornwall, and Joan Foy to the 35th Legislature for confirmation.

Former Delegate to Congress and medical doctor Donna Christensen has been nominated to serve on the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands. If confirmed, she will serve for a term of five years. Christensen's long-standing career in public service and medicine makes her an ideal candidate to contribute to the educational advancements and governance of the institution, according to the administration.

Governor Bryan has also nominated May A. Cornwall for an important environmental role, placing her on the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission for a term of two years. Cornwall's expertise and experience in environmental management and policy will be valuable assets as the commission tackles critical issues related to coastal and marine conservation, Government House stated.

The financial sector is not being overlooked, with Joan Foy nominated to serve on the Virgin Islands Banking Board for a term of two years. Foy's extensive experience in finance and banking qualifies her for a role that demands in-depth understanding and effective oversight of financial institutions.

The nominations are now pending approval by the 35th Legislature, where they are expected to undergo rigorous scrutiny before confirmation.
