Bryan Out of Territory to Attend Investment Summit, Meet With Jetblue CEO

Governor Albert Bryan is attending the SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland, and the Boston Business Summit this week. The Governor will be joined by Lt. Governor Tregenza A. Roach at the SelectUSA Investment Summit, and Attorney General Nominee Ariel Smith will act as the Governor in their absence.

The summit takes place on May 2, and Governor Bryan will be on the Governors Panel discussing workforce development, economic prosperity, and job creation with other governors.

The U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, and U.S. Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo, will also speak at the summit. Participating business executives will discuss their experiences with the American workforce and how they have promoted training initiatives to grow their businesses. There will also be a discussion on opportunities for women in Tech, highlighting ways the public and private sectors are empowering women.

On May 3, Governor Bryan will speak at the Boston Business Forum at Fenway Park. The summit aims to promote the U.S. Virgin Islands and establish partnerships with private-sector stakeholders to spur workforce development and economic opportunities. The Governor will also meet with JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes on Wednesday afternoon.

In addition, Governor Bryan will attend the Boston College Chief Executives Club Luncheon and participate in a scheduled radio interview to talk about economic opportunities available in the U.S. Virgin Islands. At the Boston Business Summit, Governor Bryan, Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte, and RT Park CEO Peter Chapman will join Red Sox President Sam Kennedy in making remarks to the attendees.

Following the summit, the participants will watch the Red Sox Game in Mr. Kennedy’s private stadium box and have an informal networking session. Governor Bryan aims to use these opportunities to promote the U.S. Virgin Islands and establish new partnerships to benefit the territory's workforce and economic growth.
