Patrick Farrell and Tishelle Knight share the stage as members of Cool Sessions Brass
St. Thomas's second annual Scorpio Birthday Bash will see several Cool Session Brass alums back on stage together again for one magical evening.
Patrick Farrell of Real Talk Promotions is the driving force behind the reunion. He says that since leaving the band in July, he has been approached by many people who say they want to see him back together on stage with Tishelle Knight, who herself separated from the band at the beginning of 2023. "While trying to figure out entertainment for this year, I thought, why don't I ask Tishelle and some of the members of Cool Session if they are interested in doing something together," Mr. Farrell told the Consortium. "They agreed without hesitation, so here we are!"
For her part, Ms. Knight is looking forward to being reunited, if only briefly, with some of her favorite musicians. "I'm excited about this one-time event," she gushed, promising patrons "a musical experience to remember."
Mr. Farrell says that he was just searching for a way to celebrate his November birthday last year, when the idea to bring people together in a big way was sparked. The success of the first event quickly sparked demands to make it an annual fixture on St. Thomas's entertainment calendar, specifically catering to the "grown and sexy" crowd, who Mr. Farrell says would most appreciate the cozy ambience of the Fort. Christian setting. "Not too big, not too small, but just right," the promoter remarked.
Tickets for the Nov 19 event are on sale at Paradise Nails & Beauty Bar at the 4Winds Shopping Plaza, and Paradise Party Decor at the Wheatley Shopping Center.
