The V.I. Department of Health’s Physical Activity Employee Resource Group (PAERG) is bringing the community together for a nostalgic and high-energy fundraiser this weekend with its much-anticipated “Throwback Party” on both St. Thomas and St. Croix.
The themed event will take partygoers through the decades, featuring music from the 70s at 7:00 p.m., the 80s at 8:00 p.m., the 90s at 9:00 p.m., and the 2000s from 10:00 p.m. onward. Dressing in era-themed outfits is encouraged but optional.
The St. Thomas edition of the event will be held on Friday, March 28 at The Muse and features DJ Wizzo, while the St. Croix party will take place Saturday, March 29 at Levels and features DJ Chubby. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for both events.
Bria James, a member of PAERG and one of the coordinators for the St. Croix party, expressed her excitement ahead of the festivities. “I am absolutely thrilled for this weekend’s fundraiser, the Throwback Party! This event is all about celebrating the eras we love while supporting a great cause,” she said. “With exciting activities planned in both districts, I can’t wait to see everyone there, enjoying the music, the energy, and having a great night!”
The event is part of PAERG’s broader mission to support health-focused initiatives across the Department of Health and within the wider community. Funds raised from events like the Throwback Party help to:

Boost morale among DOH employees,

Support outreach for chronic disease prevention and management,

Promote sustained physical activity for healthier lifestyles,

And help organize DOH’s annual Holiday Gala.
Tickets for the Throwback Party are priced at $15 for DOH employees, $20 for general admission, and $25 at the door.
Tickets for the St. Thomas event can be obtained from Angela Henry or Donalda Rogers at Knud Hansen, Athenia Smith at the DOH Clinic at SRMC, or Hasina Pryce at MCH. On St. Croix, tickets are available from Tatia Monell-Hewitt at VIYA, Veronica Ortiz at HR at Sunny Isles Medical Center, Bria James at Preparedness in Golden Rock, or Tamara Ramos at Behavioral Health in Golden Rock.
Organizers are encouraging the public to come out, support the cause, and enjoy a multi-generational musical journey in celebration of health, unity, and good fun.
