ST. CROIX -- Aniyah Williams was crowned princess during Sunday's Prince and Princess Pageant. The well attended event -- over 400 people filled the John H. Woodson Auditorium for the pageant affair -- was ripe with entertainment from a variety of local artists.
The competition itself was tight, with all contestants bringing their best and impressing onlookers as they applauded throughout the engaging show.
"The show's production was amazing and the turnout was great," said Shanisa Emmanuel, chair of the Prince and Princess Pageant. "Our contestants worked hard for two months to put on a spectacular show for the island of St. Croix. My team and I are proud of each contestant as they gave their all. We are proud of Aniyah Williams on a job well done."
With Aniyah winning the competition, Alayah Whatley was 1st runner up, Janiah Warden 2nd runner up, and Prince Contender Jahiem Creque, who had no competition, holding the prince title.
