Voter Registration Deadline Approaching for USVI General Election

Extended hours offered from October 2-6, fees waived for lost or stolen voter ID cards

Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes has announced that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming General Election is Sunday, October 6, 2024. This deadline applies to all residents who wish to participate in the November 5, 2024 General Election. As mandated by the Virgin Islands Code, voter registration will close 30 days before the election and remain closed for five days afterward.

To accommodate potential voters, the Elections System of the Virgin Islands has extended its voter registration hours. The extended hours will begin on Wednesday, October 2, and run through Sunday, October 6. Additionally, fees for replacing lost or stolen Voter ID Cards will be waived during this period.

The voter registration process will be available at the Elections System offices on St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. The extended hours for each location are as follows:

St. Croix & St. Thomas:

  • Wednesday, October 2 – Friday, October 4: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 5: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 6: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

St. John:

  • Thursday, October 3: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 5: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
