V.I. Board of Elections Prepares for Primary Election with Machine Testing

Public and media invited to witness the testing of voting machines on July 30, ahead of the August 3 Primary Election, to be held at various locations on St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas

The V.I. Board of Elections has announced that it will conduct testing of the Express Vote and DS200 Voting Machines in preparation for the upcoming Primary Election. The testing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30, at 5:30 p.m. and will take place at the Elections System of the Virgin Islands (ESVI) offices on both St. Croix and St. Thomas.

The locations for the testing are as follows:

  • ESVI St. Croix Office: Sunny Isle Shopping Center Unit 26, 1st Floor
  • ESVI St. Thomas Office: Lockhart Gardens Shopping Center (Above Banco Popular)

The Primary Election is set for Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on all three islands. The designated polling locations are:

St. Croix

  • D.C. Canegata Recreation Center
  • St. Croix Educational Complex High School Gymnasium
  • Rotary West Community Center

St. John

  • Julius Sprauve School Cafeteria

St. Thomas

  • Charlotte Amalie High School (Sprung)
  • University of the Virgin Islands Sports & Fitness Center
  • Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Cafeteria
