Over 3,000 Virgin Islanders Have Voted Early So Far

Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes announced Friday that voter turnout in both districts after five days topped 3,000 for early voting.

To date, 3,073 voters have cast their ballots, Ms. Fawkes announced.

"Be assured that the process is efficient and transparent, and your sacred vote is secure," said Supervisor Fawkes.

Early voting continues through the weekend and will end on Monday, October 31, 2022.

Voting hours on St. Croix and St. Thomas are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Voting hours on St. John are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The early voting Locations are:

  • District of St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isle Shopping Center Unit 26
  • District of St Croix- St. Joseph Church Hospitality Lounge
  • District of St. Thomas-St. John- St. Thomas- Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular)
  • District of St. Thomas-St. John- St. Thomas-Tutu Park Mall (former Scotia Bank location)
  • District of St. Thomas-St. John – Market Place Suite II

 

The number of electors who participated in early voting through Friday, October 14 is as follows:

St. Thomas-1,519, St. John-103, and St. Croix-1,451 for a total participation of 3,073. Ms. Fawkes is urging all voters to vote early and exercise this civic duty, which your community expects of you.

In closing, Ms. Fawkes quoted Larry J. Sabato, who stated, “Every election is determined by the people who show up."

The Elections System will update the public every other day regarding the turnout for the 2022 General Election early voting, according to the release.
