Certified Election Results: Plaskett Untouchable, Frett-Gregory Back at the Top, and Kurt Vialet Dominates St. Croix

The Election System of the Virgin Islands has released the certified 2020 General Election data, which again has resulted in the switching of top vote-getter status in St. Thomas by a few votes in Senator Donna Frett-Gregory's favor. Ms. Frett-Gregory clinched the number 1 position by 28 votes over Senator Janelle Sarauw. She ended with 4,855 to Ms. Sarauw's 4,827.

The certified results also show Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett's prowess. The Congresswoman finished with a solid 13,620 votes, leaving her competition, Shekema M. George far behind with 1,782 votes.

On St. Croix, Senator Kurt Vialet's domination held with a total of 4,852 votes, followed by Senator-elect Genevieve Whitaker's 3,898.

Thirty-three percent of registered voters participated in this year's general election, the Election System revealed, with a total of 18,130 individuals voting. The territory has 53,341 registered voters.
