Governor Albert Bryan and Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach will formally announce their bid for reelection on Tuesday, May 10, 6:00 p.m. at St. Croix’s Bryan/Roach Campaign Headquarters in Ville LaReine Shopping Center, the campaign has made known via release.

According to the release, Messrs Bryan and Roach were first sworn into office in January 2019 and have faced many challenges including rebuilding the Virgin Islands to greater resiliency standards from the 2017 hurricanes. The administration has also successfully guided the USVI for the past several years through the Covid-19 pandemic that gripped the Virgin Islands as it did in so many global locations.

“Our administration has met many challenges head-on and kept promises we have made to change the course of government by restoring economic stability, providing greater transparency to government operations and investing in our infrastructure,” said Governor Bryan. “As we knew early on, rebuilding our territory is not an overnight endeavor and we seek to finish the work that we started during the next four years. We fully understand what more needs to be done and are equipped to do it.”

Bryan and Roach will head the Democratic Party ticket along with senatorial candidates and members of various boards serving the territory, the release said. "With at least five decades collectively in service to the people of the Virgin Islands, Bryan and Roach have successfully demonstrated experience in managing public affairs, economic development, policy planning, labor and workforce development, and banking and insurance," it added.

“Tregenza and I are profoundly grateful for the support we have received from Virgin Islanders since we came to office. We are inviting supporters, family, and friends to join us for our announcement on Tuesday, May 10th, as we seek to continue our work on your behalf.  Together! We are Stronger Than Ever," the governor concluded, quoting the 2022 campaign slogan.
