The Virgin Islands Department of Education has announced that it will accept applications for its “Learn from Home” distance learning option for school year 2020-2021 through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 31. “Learn from Home” is only available to students enrolled in V.I. public schools.

Additionally, parents are no longer required to submit a signed form from a licensed physician confirming underlying health condition(s) of students registering for “Learn from Home," D.O.E. said.

The “Learn from Home” form can be accessed from the Department’s website, www.vide.vi, through the “For Families” link at the top of the page, and by clicking the “Reopening of School Plan” tab.

According to the release, Parents preferring “Learn from School,” the Department’s learning option that offers a hybrid of on-campus and distance learning for school year 2020-2021, are not required to complete an online application.
