Dept. of Education officials on Friday morning fielded questions from Arthur A. Richards K-8 School teachers about the odor that has affected faculty and staff for over five months, and caused its closure Friday. The was held up for over an hour because St. Croix Superintendent of Schools, Carlos McGregor, refused to allow AFT St. Croix President, Rosa Soto-Thomas, to be in the meeting. Mr. McGregor even called police officers to forcefully remove Mrs. Soto-Thomas, but that effort backfired, and the AFT leader was allowed to stay. Watch.
