Governor Albert Bryan spoke about some of the ways his administration plans to spend some incoming federal funds after being asked about them by the Consortium during the administration’s weekly press briefing.
While the initial plan was to use the money to supplement the budget “but we have been recording record revenues” according to the Governor.
Mr. Bryan said “We want to use that money wisely” and spoke about projects such as expanding the water distribution system, replacing sewers, broadband expansion, and providing opportunities for home ownership as some of the places that these funds can be used. He said “Those are the immediate things that we don’t have funding secured already that we would like to get going on.”
He thinks “we should access those funds in the next two weeks or so” and noted that “we have a little time to spend that money.”
