Hurricane Irma's Impact on St. Thomas.

Governor Albert Bryan and Office of Disaster Recovery Director Adrienne Williams-Octalien will attend the second FEMA/USVI Summit at FEMA’s Region 2 headquarters in the One World Trade Center in New York on Monday, Gov't House made known via release late Sunday.

The summit focuses on the ongoing disaster recovery and the implementation of the Bipartisan Budget Act in the reconstruction of the territory's critical facilities including its hospitals and schools, Gov't House said.

Mr. Bryan and Mrs. Williams-Octalien will meet with Regional Administrator David Warrington and other members of FEMA’s Region 2, which oversees the federal emergency management for New York, New Jersey, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, according to the release.

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach will serve as acting governor until Governor Bryan returns to the territory on Tuesday, December 6.

The federal government, largely through FEMA, has been providing billions of dollars to the territory as part of the federal agency's disaster recovery obligation tied to the storms of 2017.
