The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency's AlertVI system sent four alerts between Saturday night and Sunday morning of small earthquakes recorded in the territory.

Three of the four earthquakes came in at 4.4 in magnitude. Two of the four were registered at 7:22 p.m. Saturday; and the third and fourth events at 3:12 a.m. Sunday, according to the AlertVI system.

The alert system sends out its mandatory notice that reads, "If a tsunami is detected as a result of the earthquake, separate tsunami information will be sent by AlertVI. VITEMA staff will monitor these events and issue any follow up action if required."

The rather minuscule events did not cause tsunami activity.
