DPW, VITEMA to Distribute Sandbags Territory-Wide Sept. 3-4; Six-Bag Limit Per Household

DPW and VITEMA will distribute sandbags Sept. 3-4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John. Households may receive up to six bags at designated Public Works locations in Estate Anna’s Hope, Subbase and Susannaberg during the operation.

Residents across St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John will be able to collect sandbags Thursday and Friday as the V.I. Department of Public Works, in coordination with VITEMA, conducts a territory-wide distribution operation.

Distribution will take place September 3 and 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with households limited to six sandbags each.

On St. Croix, sandbags will be available at the Department of Public Works location in Estate Anna’s Hope. St. Thomas residents can collect bags at the DPW Subbase Operations Yard, while the DPW facility in Susannaberg will serve residents on St. John.

The distribution is being carried out under Public Works’ Operation Blue Skies in coordination with the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency.
