ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department is actively searching for two suspects wanted for first-degree murder: Carlos Ayala, 19, and his uncle, Casey Rivera, 36. Both men are considered armed and dangerous, and authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information on their whereabouts.

According to the VIPD Criminal Investigation Bureau, Ayala and Rivera are known to frequent the Walter I.M. Hodge Housing Community and the Marley Housing area in Frederiksted. Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious and alert.

The VIPD is asking anyone who has seen Ayala or Rivera, or knows their location, to immediately contact 911. Authorities warn that harboring a fugitive is a crime punishable by law.
