Northshore Road Accident Leads to DUI Charge Against Woman

ST. CROIX — A woman appeared before a V.I Superior Court judge  Monday after being arrested on a DUI charge. Jeannette A. Lingholm was arrested and charged on October 23 for driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor. Her arrest follows a report placed with the 911 Emergency Call Center to investigate an accident on the North Side Road. According to the probable cause fact sheet, upon arrival at the scene, contact was made with two individuals — a man identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, and Jeannette Lingholm, who told investigators she was the driver of the other vehicle. The male individual told police that while he was traveling eastbound on North Side Road, he observed the second vehicle driven by Lingholm swerve onto his lane. He said upon trying to avoid the collision, his vehicle collided with Lingholm’s vehicle causing damage to his right quarter panel and right rear rim.
