Yet Another Virgin Islander Arrested For Uploading Fake Covid-19 Test Result

ST. CROIX — Yet another Virgin Islander has been arrested for uploading a fraudulent Covid-19 test result into the USVI Travel Portal, announced V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.

According to the V.I.P.D. news release, on Monday at around 8:15 p.m., officers of the Covid-19 Enforcement Task Force arrested Shania Shervington, age 35 of Estate Whim. She was charged with fraudulent claims upon the government, access to a computer for fraudulent purposes, use of false information, and filing or recording forged instruments.

Shervington was arrested for submitting an altered negative COVID-19 test result to the USVI Travel Portal.

 Bail for Shervington was set at $5,500, and she was released on her own recognizance pending her advisement hearing.
