ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers on Wednesday at around 3:56 p.m. were dispatched to Kronprindsens Gade in downtown Charlotte Amalie to investigate a report of shots fired and a possible gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to police spokesman Toby Derima. No further details were provided.
Mr. Derima said the case is under active investigation.
The VIPD is urging any and everyone who saw what happened to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-TIPS. Please remember, if you see something, say something.
