ST. THOMAS — A 60-year-old woman was found dead Tuesday morning in the street in Estate Thomas on St. Thomas.
About 6:41 a.m., authorities responded to a 911 call about a female lying unresponsive on the roadway in the Hospital Ground residential area.
Emergency Medical Technicians confirmed the woman had no vital signs. A Virgin Islands Police Department report identified the woman as Valerie Tyson Clarke.
The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Bureau as a possible pedestrian accident. An autopsy is pending to confirm cause of death, police said.
