ST. CROIX — A woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly ramming her boyfriend’s vehicle repeatedly with her own, despite being informed that there was an infant inside.

According to court documents, on April 1, officers were dispatched to Grove Place where they met with Kishurna Clouden, who told officers that she was leaving the Mutual Homes Housing Community when she saw her boyfriend approaching in his car. In an attempt to speak with the man, Clouden says she drove up to his vehicle but he refused to speak with her and drove off. To get him to stop, Clouden admitted that she struck her boyfriend’s vehicle at least twice. When he finally came out of his vehicle, she exited hers, and the two of them got into an argument.

Clouden’s boyfriend corroborated her account — he was driving in the vicinity of Mutual Homes when he saw Clouden approaching at high speed. He says she tried to hit his vehicle at that time, but he managed to evade her. However, she caught up to him and struck his vehicle with hers multiple times. The boyfriend's front passenger also confirmed the man’s story.

Documents presented in court indicate that during the incident, the female passenger rolled down the window and shouted that her 3-month-old daughter was in the vehicle, but that information did not deter Clouden, who continued to hit the man's car with her 2013  Ford Edge.

Police noted extensive damage to the man’s vehicle – broken axle, broken headlights, and dents and scratches on the front bumper, front left door, left rear view mirror and right front fenders. Clouden’s SUV was also scratched and dented, and her front bumper was partially broken off.

Emergency Medical Technicians called to the scene examined the infant for injuries but none were discovered.

Kishurna Clouden was placed under arrest and charged with third-degree assault as an act of domestic violence, reckless endangerment, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and reckless driving.

Her advice of rights hearing was scheduled for Monday April 3, 2023.
