ST. CROIX — Surveillance footage showing a woman collecting spent cartridge casings after a man fired multiple gunshots into the air outside a Christiansted bar has led to her arrest more than a year after the incident.

According to police reports, on May 31, 2024, at about 12:40 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of gunfire near Nirvana Bar & Lounge, located in the Pan Am Pavilion area of Christiansted. When officers arrived, they met a concerned citizen who said a light-skinned man with dreadlocks, dressed in a white shirt and jeans, had exited the bar and discharged about five rounds into the air.

A detective with the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate the case, and surveillance footage later identified the shooter as Hillman Faucher Jr. The footage also showed a woman, later identified as Angela Minto, picking up the spent cartridges immediately after Faucher fired the shots.

Faucher was arrested on June 6, 2024, in connection with the shooting. Following the investigation, on September 23, 2024, a Superior Court judge signed an arrest warrant for Minto.

Over a year later, on November 11, 2025, 37-year-old Angela Minto was detained at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport by V.I. Port Authority and Customs and Border Protection personnel. She was then transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Police Station, where she was arrested for Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree and Accessory After the Fact.

Minto was booked and remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility, pending her Advice of Rights hearing, scheduled for November 12 in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
