ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. officers during the wee hours of Thursday morning arrested Wayne A. Jerome, age 23 of Estate Whim and charged him with second-degree assault, domestic violence.
The arrest occurred at roughly 3:42 a.m., said Mr. Derima. Jerome is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and damaging property during a disagreement. Bail was not offered, and Jerome was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
The VIPD reminded the community that there is no excuse for domestic violence.
