V.I.P.D. officers on Saturday afternoon took into custody Tyler Delroy Smith and charged him with the June 2021 murder of Nancy Nieves Naar. Naar was found brutally murdered on the side of a road in Estate St. John in Christiansted. The woman was found "beaten beyond recognition," according to the V.I.P.D.
